Q. The autoscheduling option doesn't seem to work.

Currently version 1 of the auto scheduling feature is installed with clockit. This version takes following information into account:

* Employee's availability
* Employee's assignable shifts
* Employee's max/min hour to work per week/month
* Shift's maximum assignments per day

If you entered all needed data and the auto-scheduling doesn't seem to work, try the Info Bar. (select it from the menu Options > Show Information Bar).

You'll see a new frame at the bottom of ClockIt, enlarge it a bit so multiple messages can be displayed. Next assign the shift to the employee. If something is inconsistent with the data you've entered, it will be shown here.

If there are, you can use these to adjust your settings. (eg, the availability might be to strict, try adding an half an hour. A shift might not be assignable to this employee: add this shift in the "assignable shifts" list. You might already have sufficient employees with this shift assignment for this day, etc).
